This aquarium is a private aquarium for the Sultan of Brunei, This is a quite common practice now in Restaurants, Casinos and Hotel Foyers. In 1988 the idea to have a large aquarium in a residence was thought of as extravagant. So in some ways Marinescape has showed that the possibility of having an aquarium as a feature of a building is possible and obtainable.
